The whole thumb above is in the riparian area with silt, gravel, deadwood, and riparian vegetation. 

 

Information on the next pictures:

The pictures below show that the river continues to meander. In 2005 the F&G trail ended on a gravel shore. . High water in the spring of 2006 took out 75' of bank and the F&G trail
foot. The trail was moved downstream to the Halverson erected fence. Another trail to the river was constructed at the bridge in 2007 for boat takeout.

 

The original F&G trail went down to the shore in 2005. 2000cfs in 2006 took out the shore and made a 5' cutbank.

 

#1 is cutbank from river at the bottom of the Fish and Game trail.
