Message to The Common Interest
Aristotle, Adam Smith, James Madison, and Walter Lippmann make the case that the elite must govern the common people. The bubbles, depressions, recessions, wars, and divergent wage-productivity show that the elite can’t govern.
Our more civilized country is a result of the people making civility not the elite. That an African American and a woman ran for president and the Vietnam War ended because it was morally wrong shows that the Civil Rights, Woman’s Rights, and Anti-War movements have made this a more civilized country, not the government and not the elite.
People can make their own fuel. A blender pump is just the first step. In Lemhi Valley, we 8000 people send $10.5 million out of the valley each year for gasoline (Excel File Fuel We Use). We don’t need to. We can make a feed-stock and produce ethanol. If the $10.5 million stayed in this valley, an additional $33 million is made by the trickle-down process. The only losers with this idea are the oil companies and perhaps the auto companies.
The elite of the oil companies understand what I am telling you and have done everything they can to stop us. That is why I put ethanol (not E85) in my 1991 Ford Escort and 1988 Toyota truck. Just to show that what is published by oil companies and auto companies is nonsense. We can make better engines here in Salmon.
People making their own fuel solve the economy, environment, and energy problems in one step. The science is clear. Nathan Lewis and Chris Somerville explain these issues for all to understand. Links to all this is on our website: http://votingpeoplehelpingpeople.com/default.html
We succeeded in submitting a USDA SBIR grant to make our own fuel, which is on the right column of the group page on the website. We have tried to get help from our federal legislators and from the Governor with no success. Project 60 spends the people’s money and accomplishes nothing for the people.
If you and The Common Interest understand what I am saying, we would like to discuss these ideas with you in detail.
When do you want to start?

Keith,
Want to work on a subsidy for ethanol blender pumps in Idaho? Governor Hoeven has one. I asked Governor Otter to make one.
The Burley plant may open. If we make ethanol in Idaho, we can burn it in Idaho. That is the trickle-down theory of economics accomplishing what Project 60 is failing to do.
With this in place, then communities like Salmon can make their own fuel and burn it here.
