Ordinary people doing extraordinary things, even the hard issues.

Democratic Deficit

Our message about being specific:

The Health Care Resolution, which the Canyon County Democrats Central Committee passed, is the kind of specific solution I am talking about for the economy, environment, and energy.  We can support a candidate, with specific ideas like this resolution, for Crapo's job and for every other legislative job: city, county, state, and federal.

You can see some of what I have been telling our federal legislators here:

_jim_risch_Simpson_Crapo.htm

I used to put what they answered.  I don't anymore because they never do answer the question.  They just send some canned response that one of their staff thinks is right.  It is not.

The people can understand these specific solutions and are way to the left of both parties on most issues, according to polls for years. Health Care is an example. Noam Chomsky The Noam Chomsky Website and Howard Zinn Howard Zinn have been saying this for years.  This gap between public opinion and public policy is called the Democratic Deficit.  Google will find more on Democratic Deficit.

This is an example of what I have told our federal legislators about the economy:

Tom Ferguson, Sony Kapoor, Paul Krugman, Larry Summers, Jane D'Arista, Elizabeth Warren, and Joseph Stiglitz have analyzed the finance industry and offer solutions.

Have you analyzed the ideas of  Tom Ferguson, Sony Kapoor, Paul Krugman, Larry Summers, Jane D'Arista, Elizabeth Warren, and Joseph Stiglitz ?

Mike Simpson is the only one who responded, with a response that had nothing to do with the question.

The people who seldom vote and the voters who did nothing when the election was stolen in 2000, may be ready to vote if they think it makes a difference.

Sincerely,

Cal

PS Our meeting with Mike Crapo is here: Communicating With Our Senator

Our current effort with Project 60 is here: Project 60  The governor does ask agencies like Dept Commerce to respond to me, when I tell the governor that he did not respond to my message, which I gave him, when he was in Salmon.  What is wrong with this picture?  Kit from the Dept Commerce (Project 60) talked with me yesterday.  My conclusion is that Project 60 is all smoke and mirrors. Dustin Kuck (for Otter) 208-334-2100 told me to ask Don Dietrich (Dept Commerce) 208-334-2470 about my ideas.  Maybe Don will be able to understand.
